About Us

I have been working in a service environment for the past 35+ years. My experience began as a young boy, working with my father on various building and repairing projects. It started around the age of 8 when I would tinker with my bicycle or try to build a trailer out of an old wagon to drag behind the bike. At that time on the old farm we were building a barn with recycled wood from demolished homes, and one of my jobs was to pull nails and learned very young how to handle a hammer.  That was the start of my fascination with tools. It was during those early years that I found I had a knack of how to analyze problems and to find solutions to various equipment and home repairs. I tested my abilities and honed my skills over the next 35 years and decided that I need to do what I love to do. Although I enjoy the challenge of a problem, there is no better feeling then when a repair or install is completed and the customer is more than satisfied with the final result. Hence my "Handyman Service" came to life.

My father was a carpenter so naturally I became interested in carpentry and woodworking. I have built 2 home additions and 2 garages for my own residences over the years. As well as garages, additions and sheds for some of my clients. In 2010 through gentle persuasion and lots of love, I finally had my wife on board and began to plan, design and build my 520 square foot shop with infloor heat and all the equipment for woodworking and it's right here in "my backyard".

I was approached in 2009 by a national company to install blinds in the Winnipeg area. I agreed and took some training, went to Bloomfield Colorado for certification on Hunter Douglas products and began installing and repairing blinds and roller shades. This last fall (2015) I went to Phoenix AZ for shutter training and certification, so now I service and install Hunter Douglas shutters. This is a perfect fit for my abilities and skill set.

So as you can see, I have developed a company with all the things I specialize in and enjoy doing. In my mind, if you like what you do, then that always results in a job well done. Therefore you end up with a very "satisfied customer". That customer could be you!

As a leading provider of handyman service, we take pride in offering the best service possible. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our customers each and every day.
